We all love free stuff right? And with the cost of having a baby and everything you need to invest in, even just essential items like nappies and baby wipes, things soon add up. As a parent, especially a new parent, you are also on the lookout for any help or guidance you can get from a variety of sources. So, anything useful and that’s free is very welcome indeed!
Below are some essential freebies we have found extremely valuable as new parents:
Bounty packs:
Information pack: This is a great folder to keep all your pregnancy notes, letters, scans, any test results in etc. The pack also contains a ‘You and Your Pregnancy Guide’ with lots of general advice and money off samples.
Mum-to-be-pack: This is available from when you are 13 weeks pregnant. It is full of free samples and money off coupons. You can get slightly different packs from Tesco, Asda and Boots. We got ours from Boots and it included laundry, nappy rash cream and nappy samples as well as a buying guide pamphlet.
Newborn pack: This is available once you have your baby. You can usually get them while you’re still in hospital (if that’s the case) or you can ask your health provider/health visitor for it. We got ours while in the hospital and it included nappies, baby wipes and nappy rash cream samples, advice on child benefits, safe sleeping, immunisations, vitamin D drops and money off coupons.
